Cat Haven
Cat Haven is dedicated to helping stray cats/kittens. We were formed in
2001 in an effort to help so many little ones go
from being homeless to homebound. All our cats are felv/fv negative and
have been spayed or neuterd. They are
vaccinated against distemper and rabies. Cat Haven could not exist
without
the help of others who are willing to donate
thier time: veterinarians, animal control officers and concerned pet
owners. We are blessed to join with Sheltara - A
Pamela Bratsos Armstrong Memorial and Mercy for Cats. Together, we have
combined efforts to form one Humane
Non-profit organization whose mission is providing shelter and assistance
for abandoned and stray animals.
What Cat Haven does:
Aids with the trapping, spay or neuter and release of
neighborhood or
feral cats.
Networks with other humane organizations to find loving permanent
homes for pets.
Sponsors a foster home program for kittens and older cats.
Provides a haven for homeless animals awaiting a permanent
placement.
Mercy for Cats
The Mercy For Cats shelter that was allowing Sheltara Humane to use their
facilities as our shelter has officially closed. Many thanks to the owner
and volunteers at Mercy for the generous use of their wonderful space.
Happily, most of our cats living there have been adopted.
