Two Angels
Judy Shaw and her dog Angel (adopted from a local animal shelter) pose with
stacks of diapers and dog food for John Paul Sullivans Lakota Kids program.
Judy and Angel picked up and delivered carloads of supplies donated by B.J.s
Wholesale Club in Danvers to Sheltara Humane Society A Pamela Bratsos
Armstrong Memorial. Sheltara collected food and supplies for dogs and cats
living on the South Dakota Indian Reservation. Diapers and holiday toys were
collected for the children. Thanks to B.J.s Wholesale Club, Judy and everyone
who contributed.

A Nice Way to Celebrate Thanksgiving...Please pass it on.
John Paul Sullivan is planning his annual Thanksgiving trip to the Pine Ridge Reservation to do what he can for the Lakota Indians of South Dakota. As often as possible, JP fills a rented truck with donations and makes the three-day trip to The Badlands. His work has progressed to the point that he now needs to hire a box truck and driver to haul the goods and supplies that he collects.
The Sheltara Humane Society -The Pamela Bratsos Armstrong Memorial is once again collecting food and supplies for the pets on the reservation. We welcome any donations of dog & cat food, blankets, towels, sheets, or pet supplies.
John Paul is collecting gently used clothing (especially coats for the children and elderly), household goods, small appliances (in working condition), furniture and non-perishable foods. Especially needed are women's toiletries and diapers. Toys and gifts for the children would be a nice treat for the holidays. The price of the truck rental is $2,000.00. John Paul pays this expense himself unless there are sponsors and donations to help him. He pays for all of his own travel expenses as well. If you have any goods to donate, please call 781-447-5528 to schedule a drop off or pick up. You can send John Paul Sullivan a donation c/o Sheltara Humane, Pamela Bratsos Armstrong Memorial, 141 Memorial Parkway #199, Randolph, MA 02368.

You can also donate your time. John Paul needs volunteers to help him load the box truck in the days before the delivery. Any and all help is appreciated.
Thank you
Thanks to all who participated in the Karaoke for Kitties event
Whether you participated in the Karaoke contest, entered the raffle, made a donation, or came in to watch the show....we appreciate your support!
The Karaoke winners were as follows: Karen Brennan singing "Over the Rainbow" by Judy Garland won "Money Cat". Anna Hegenberger won "Purrrfect" singing "You Were Meant for Me" by Jewel. As there was a tie for 1st place, we designated the "Alley Cat" Award as People's Choice (the crowd pleasers). This was won by Gary Feldman singing "Just a Gigolo" by David Lee Roth. Congratulations to Gary for being selected as the most charismatic performer! (It must have been that tie!)
Dorothy Kelly was the raffle winner of the water garden. Al Lavoie won the cash prize. Other awards were Thank you Awards: The Karaoke Kitty award went to DJ Gail Kneeland Trull for donating her time and talent and to Fred at Amvets for allowing it . The Karaoke Angel award was given to Dolores Shea for single-handedly sponsoring this event by coordinating a raffle and donating the raffle prize. The Doctor Kitty was awarded to Wendy Cvilikas the shelter director for Sheltara and the "Mother Theresa of Kitties". A "Cool Cat" participant went to Judy Shaw and BJ Wholesale Club of Danvers because, although Judy doesn't sing she ALWAYS participates in supporting our Pamela Bratsos Armstrong Memorial. We are always grateful for the loyal support of our friends and family, the staff and customers of Kathy's Grooming Shop in Holbrook and folks from the Randolph Animal Shelter Committee.
Karaoke for Kitties brought in $1000.00 in sponsorships and donations...not bad for an event an hour and a half long! This money will be used to pay our veterinary bills and to finance the Pamela Bratsos Armstrong Memorial Scholarship. It was a great show!.... D.J. Gail and all the singers did a fantastic job!
Thank you to all our friends and supporters of Sheltara in the memory of Pamela Bratsos Armstrong
